Nice work Lee... it'd be great to have the bridge open on our return trip from Terlingua. It'd cut off quite a bit of mileage not having to make that detour heading to Bandera.

I lied to you Lee. I get there on the 13th and leave on the 17th.
UPDATE ... I'm with Tim and he got the room extended to include Friday night.

Charlie, out of the 4 bikes in the showroom, the one I picked was the only one with good valve guides.......all other 3 bikes need new motors!!!!!! Now I gotta decide if I want to bring this or the street fighter?????

Ducati has a history with bad valve guides. My first Multistrada had valve guides made of too soft a material, and they wore out, allowing the valve to hit randomly and not make a good seal. After 18,000 miles, I had to let the motor "idle" at 2000 rpm just to keep it running. Lots of bikes over a several year run had that problem. One of the Ducati brothers-in-law must be in charge of valve guides.

It's the first bike to come along in several years that I got really excited about. I've yet to own a Ducati and I feel like this could be the one but I convinced myself to wait a year. After all the stuff I'm reading on the Ducati forums I'm pretty happy I did. I hope your bike was built when everyone at the factory was having a good day.
