I suspect you weren't the only one. The Mickey Mouse Club was popular, in no small part because of her.

          I think it's a double-breasted mattress thrasher

Cleat position can affect power output by as much as two cassette cogs worth. According to some observers. And a cleat forward position is helpful for sprinting and at the ball of the foot for endurance.

Note that moving the cleats back reportedly requires the saddle to be moved forward in order to keep the rider's COG over the pedals. Some say a ratio of about 0.6 of the cleat movement.

Proper cleat position, alignment can also eliminate many knee issues.

On level ground, rider weight makes little difference. In fact, many of the heavy riders have very strong legs.

Moved from comfort to speed on the gravel bike for pavement. Tire pressures are now at maximum recommended. 65 PSI for 37C tires. Rolling resistance appears to be similar or better than that of the road bikes in the riding group. The tires are Riddlers with 60 TPI.

Interesting. I ride 38mm Gravel Kings. When I ride with the road group, I run 52-55 psi. I don't give up TOO much. It's hard to tell because I've gotten slower in my dotage.

August 17TH? Gee, I can't believe it's on us already. I think of this race as a September event!

What we do is dangerous. Not only do experts crash, break bones, and sometimes die while racing, amateur riders "hit the deck" all the time. I have fallen numerous times over the years riding motorcycles. I'v'e never even scratched a helmet. On the bicycle? Seems like in almost every crash, I hit my helmet, sometimes pretty damned hard. It sometimes sounds like a gunshot. I used to doubt the efficacy of little plastic bicycle helmets because they are so light weight, goofy and unsubstantial looking. Turns out that they work much better than expected.

Bears, did you watch Stage 8 of the Femmes Tour d' France? Oh my gosh! What a great race between determined athletes giving their all.

Not yet. Thanks for the heads up. Just started watching the Vuelta highlights, Stages 1 & 2. Some nasty crashes in stage 2.

Stage 4 Vuelta double finish line screws up the results. The crosswalk would have been temporarily painted over in the TDF.
