I'm following a guy who's riding through Mexico and he posted this. It looks a little bit dangerous to me.

                Straightening Chain Rings

The chainring nuts on my Campy crankset were factory secured with red Loctite. After heating the entire crankset to 200 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven, the nuts/bolts were removed using the Park-Tool nut wrench and an allen wrench.

Tested the rings on a flat surface and there were only slight bends. Same direction for both rings. Trued by using the edge of the workshop table with half of the rings on and half off and applying firm hand pressure. Rechecked multiple times to prevent over correction.

                Remounted with red Loctite.

Cold weather cycling may burn more calories due to the needed expenditure for body warmth.

Temps were 36 to 38F during the ride. 20 to 25 mph winds with light fog making it damp.

A Iowa grocery store chain usually has a big fire, hot chocolate and booze along the route.

A church in Rippey has a hot meal and pie. I always head strait to the pie.

Lee.that looks like a great ride. I hate winds when riding, but here in Oklahoma it is to be expected and tolerated. Iowa is probably the same.

Saturday morning Coffee Ride. Blustery and 40F. Only 2 of us rode. 2 others got out of bed for coffee with us at the end of the ride. Rode the gravel bike and suffered. 18 miles, meh.

No big deal, I really just wanted to try posting something to the forum.
