Bottom line, best saddle for men is the Sella Italia SLR Boost. This comes in narrow (S) and wide (L) with the narrators recommending the narrow width at 130 mm. The Boost designation indicates the snub nose version.

Thick/soft saddle padding may require more forward saddle tilt even with a central channel. This is due to the sit bones sinking into the padding and relatively raising the saddle nose. OTOH, the thicker padding allows more forward tilt without the rider sliding forward.

He's certainly been cutting up the field, lately. Chapeau.

      LOOK MAW!

First TDF winner. Note that the bike does not have brakes or multiple gears! Braking was done by slowing the pedal revolutions as the rear wheel would not spin unless the pedals were also spinning (fixed gear).

105 R7000 Mechanical Front Derailleur Set Up: https://cycling-obsession.com/instal...nt-derailleur/

NOTE: On my 1983 Trek 970, steel bike, adjusting the cable tension with the builtin derailleur cable tension arm alone is not possible. With the adjustment screw all the way in, the lines are still far apart. You must first add some tension with the cable stop barrel adjuster. Use this to bring the two lines on the back of the derailleur body into close approximation. You can than use the cable tension arm adjustment screw to fine tune the tension and bring the lines into complete alignment.

The previous YouTube video seems to be misleading and difficult to follow if you are setting up a previously adjusted 105 R7000 FD. It may work if you have a new one just out of the box. However the Cycling Obsession guide is much easier to follow and more detailed.

Sounds like you might have just done this. I hope it works good. I really like 105 - great stuff at the right price point.

I've thought about hooking a bike up to a generator and storing energy in batteries connected to the home electrical system.

That's what prisoners in jail should be doing.
Want electricity... start pedaling. Better food, softer mattress get on the bicycle!

Any ideas as to what the structure is behind the saddle? Water bottle cage?

I have a friend who has a Swiss Army bike. It is from about 1955 or so. Interesting features on it. The wheels and tires are such an odd size, that tires are very difficult to find. It is some odd Swiss 650 x something.
