New tires, oil change, final drive oil change. Would have done a state inspection but the state system was down. Ready for Arkansas!

Not QUITE ready! You need to get that jacket taken in a bit, AND you need to find your Pillion and sidebags!

Tim bought us these matching Hein Gericke leather jackets at a Kawasaki dealership back in 1986 and they still look pretty nifty! We still have the original hangers!

I did some more carbon fiber wrapping today, those covers have so many angles I thought about giving up many times. Took a lot of time especially since I wound up doing the right side twice

A lot of work but I think it looks great.

Mike, that's a silly question. Carbon fiber makes everything lighter.

Decided not to get the '23 R1250 GSA and instead traded the '22 KLR650 for a '23 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport.
The GS still gets me and the KLR didn't work for me.

Nice looking Triumph Mike. I really like my 800. Also I have a burgundy milk crate if that helps.

I had a 955i Tiger back twenty years ago, I liked it a lot.
Traded it and the K1200RS for a new '07 GS.

Mounted a fresh set of Trailmax Mission's today, bike came with Bridgestone A41's. The front was done at 3,800 miles I replaced it with a used Stinko I had, I got 5,100 out of the rear.
Dropped the final drive & was happy to see some grease on the splines just not enough, plenty on them now. Changed the FD oil too.

        Worthwhile efforts today, Bill.

I know you guys think it's getting nice outside but I think it's getting cold. Today I tried out my new heated seat and grips. It was wonderful! I still have the heated gloves, vest and chaps when needed. Seat was done by Sargent and the grips are the newer Oxford Pros.

I made a bracket to move my top box an inch & a half further back. It's a Globe Scout box that's a little bigger than the BMW box & it makes it a little crowded with a passenger.
somehow it goes on easier than before . I amaze myself

Also my $45 ebay valve cover protector didn't hold up very well on my recent tip over. I added some 1" flat stock to the back side & made it a little longer.
i thought about painting it but decided to leave the battle scars. They should be strong enough now.

Contains: USB plug for the bike accessory plug, an angled tire valve stem adapter in case we need air and the available hose doesn't work on a straight stem, spare bulbs, fuses for the electric vest harness, a roll of electrical tape (because there's not room for duct tape),tire plug thingy's, and two straps in case we need a strap. Oh yes, and one wayward string from my Armor-All rag that an OCD person just told me to GO DOWNSTAIRS AND REMOVE IMMEDIATELY.

Debbie, Cathy, or I would never have noticed. I spent 5 minutes looking for it even after I knew it was there.

Decided to clean and service the bike since I had a few pieces off of it already.

Bill, I know where the pieces go, but the bolts can be confusing. So I make diagrams on
cardboard sheets and punch holes in the respected places to put the bolts and screws in.

Looking pretty after a good wash-n- wax.
Buddha would be proud of me, I waxed the underside of the fenders too.
Lower bars are off so I can check the valve clearances.
            New tires going on too.

Lee, It doesn't show the dirt so much though.

Got the coil puller tool and feeler gages yesterday. So today I pulled the plugs and
valve covers to check the valve clearances, all are still within specs at 31,000 miles.

Compared to others with similar miles the cam lobes on mine looked really good. I
change the oil in all my vehicles at 3,000 miles per my mechanic.

Waiting on new spark plugs, speed bleeders and brake fluid now.

Your head cover is getting dirty

Mounted up the Michelin Anakee Adventure tires I've had in the garage
for almost two years now. I bought them from a guy on Craigslist who
had taken them off of his new GSA and put on off road tires. Got a
            real
deal too. Funny thing was that last spring I was searching CL and came
across a new set of tires. The ad said to text him, so when I did it came
up with our text messages from the year before. I just replied that I may
as well buy those too. Turns out his wife had just bought a new GS and
they were going to do an off road course but needed better tires for it.

I put the heat gun inside them with a piece of plywood over the top to
            warm them up.

I still need to balance them and hope I can get the shitty ebay TPM to
work. Should've just bought the BMW one. May just go get one and
            avoid the frustration.

Still waiting on spark plugs, speed bleeders and DOT4 brake fluid still.

Some on AdvRider say the TPM started reading after a few miles. Others had to use a GS911 and tell the bike it had a new sensor. Not sure why the differences. I had our dealer install ours when the front finally gave up it's battery.

I installed the ebay sensors in my old GSA, you have to do them one at a time. I did the rear 1st, it started working after 2 miles, the front took 3 miles.

I've been home all week with a wicked bad cold and need to do something....
They say, "Sitting is the new smoking."

I bought and did the wake-up tool and have tried the GS911 to connect it.
The thing doesn't read to the bike. Reviews said that some worked for
awhile and others didn't work. Some like Bill's connected by themselves too.
I'll give it one more shot, then bite the bullet and get the BMW one.

I'll give it to Amazon, they get stuff here quickly.
In a box with no packing whatsoever.

I did call the local parts store within twenty mile
to see if they had it first, none did.
