I'm thinking of getting a smaller dualsport for the local roads.
I've got a low center of gravity is this a tall bike? Easy to lower with dog bones?
Will definitely want that seat too !!

    That bike is too clean.

Pete, I've told you before, but this is a classy paint scheme. I suppose you've earned it over the years and miles.

        Lookin good Pete!

Curt, get one of those cone shaped foam (or whatever) wheel scrubbers from any auto parts store. They work great...even used on my mega dirty Husky.

      Went for a ride.
Took my DR650 out for a spin. Followed the TN river on roads less known and ended up eating superb pizza for lunch at a place with a view.

Just changed the oil and filter in my GS and mounted up a new inductive charging iPhone mount with a vibration isolator. People keep saying that their camera is going fubar from the bike vibration. *shrug* mine has been fine but since I was changing it out anyway I went with a quad lock. My Dunlop Missions have 3,000 miles on them from my Texas Hill Country ride but should last fine for this trip and then some.

I made an appointment for next Thursday to have front & rear Road 5's mounted. What with my busy schedule there's no time to do it myself. ?

Did you send the "pre-owned" ones to Matt, yet? AND, don't forget to tighten the carrier bolts!

Haven't done anything yet but bought new tire spoons and a balancing stand. My first foray into tire changing. Couldn't really justify a No-Mar.

Yeah Joe I tried to find a reason to get a No Mar but I'm only doing a couple of sets a year. May be more now that I'm quitting work but I'll try this first.
Bill I'll definitely use your instruction video.
I just hate taking the time to take them somewhere. I'd just rather do it myself. My Dad used to give me a case of oil for Christmas (IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT KIND OF OIL IT WAS!), it was a great gift. Then one year he gave me two free oil changes at some shop. Nice thought but I hated that. I don't think I even used the second one.

      Advice from Tim.
Summer time put the tires out in the sun to get them warm and pliable.
In the winter stack the front and back tire with a trouble light in the middle and cover the top opening with tin foil.
      Leave the light on overnight.

More importantly, Lee & Wes, a warm woman is more pliable, too. (I've learned some stuff in my long boring life! LOL)

Tyson, I'm surprised there were no complaints from being under aluminum foil and blinded by a 100 watt drop light all night.

When I bring my bike home I plug the battery charger into it. Everything except the truck.

It was a good price, so maybe I'll retire the droplight. It has 102 uses.

Thanks Mike. I no longer have a droplight (went full LED and batteries for work lights some time ago). It was this or another plug-in drop light. The heat gun seemed the better choice.

I have a couple of those (heat guns) from HF that I got for 9.99 and works great.

What did I do to my bike today? Not an effing thing because it's colder than a witches gam here. Yeah, I know. Stupid post but I got a warning from Joe in a banner across the top of the screen that I hadn't posted in a while. Not sure what that's about. Maybe it was a commentary on the quality of my posts in which case I'm still f*cked.
